2013 Ford Fusion Prepped for NASCAR

Not all of us can be NASCAR drivers. That's a given. But it doesn't mean we can't fantasize, right? It seems as though such is Ford Racing's thought process as well. The long-time NASCAR participant has redesigned its race offering to closely resemble the original, street-legal Ford Fusion. That way, when sport enthusiasts head to the tracks, they can envision themselves hitting high speeds in new Ford models of their own.
Jamie Allison, Director of Ford Racing, predicts that when fans get a glimpse of the 2013 Ford Fusion NASCAR Spring Cup car, they "are just going to smile and cheer...because there is just something natural about seeing race cars that look like cars in their driveway."1
In addition to releasing the speedy new Ford Fusion racer, the automaker also recently unveiled its production-ready 2013 Ford Fusion. Future Ford of Sacramento has to say, we're extremely impressed with both. Each displays the classic Blue Oval performance and design. What's more, this is exactly what Ford was going for in creating its new NASCAR installment. Aside from visually pleasing fans, the automaker chose to design its Fusion racecar like the production model in order to increase brand identity within the sport of motor racing. Spectators have commented that all racing cars look the same and that races would be more appealing if each make and model truly stood out. Well fans, Ford is happy to oblige.
To see the new Ford Fusion NASCAR variant in action, you'll have to wait until the next Daytona 500. In the meantime, feel free to check out the street-legal 2013 Ford Fusion as soon as it arrives at Future Ford of Sacramento, 4625 Madison Ave Sacramento, CA 95841. Simply stay tuned to our Ford blog or contact one of our team members to find out exactly when that will be.
